On the death of his father, mother and son moved in with his grandparents, Charles & Marianne Norman at Little Isle, Knighton on Teme. L/Cpl Green enlisted in 1915 at Abertilley. He is buried in Grave XVIII F 19 at the CWG Loos British Cemetery and is remembered on the Memorial Tablet in Knighton on Teme Church.

Private Turner was the son of Annie Turner of Newnham Bridge, Tenbury Wells. he served with the RM Battalion in Ireland in 1915/1916 then with the BEF until 18.2.17 when he received a gunshot wound to his hand and was invalided home to the UK. He returned to France on 24th September 1917. He is buried in grave I. C. 12 at the Anneux British Cemetery, France. He is also remembered on the memorial Tablet in St Michaels Church, Knighton on Teme.

Lance Corporal yapp was the oldest son of the late Mr & Mrs Yapp of Cinders Wood and is remembered on Panel 8 of the Vis en Artois Memorial which commemorates over 9,000 allied soldiers who lost their lives in the Ypres area, between 11th August 1918 and the Armistice and have no known graves. he had been a pupil at St Michaels C of E School and is remembered on the School memorial Board in St Michaels Church. His name is inscribed on the War Memorial in the Churchyard.

Captain Brown was an ex pupil of St Michaels Collage, St Michaels, Tenbury Wells. He is remembered with his brother Lieutenant Brown who died serving the same regiment on the same day, on the WW1 Memorial Board on the west wall of St Michaels Church, and on the roll of Honour in St Bartholomew's Church, Sydenham, Kent. Captain Brown is also commemorated on the Pier and face 1C and 1D of the CWGC Thiepval Memorial, which commemorates more than 72,000 UK and South African soldiers who were killed in the battle of the Somme and have no known graves.

He is also remembered on the Shrewsbury School roll of Honour and on the WW! College Memorial Board in St Michaels Church. His older brother, John Wiley Chell was killed in South Africa in 1902.

J 17 at the Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte, Nr Albert, France. From September 1916 the London Casualty Clearing Stations used the Grove Town Cemetery for casualties from the Somme Battlefields. Lance Corporal Evans is also remembered on the Memorial Tablet in Bockleton Church.
