Reverend George Southey Pardoe is buried in Plot R. 108 of the Jerusalem War Cemetery. He was the son of George Owen & Letitia Pardoe, Vicar of Nash & Boraston, Shropshire. He graduated from University College Oxford and ordained in 1904. he was the husband of Gertrude Pardoe of Southcote, Herts and was the vicar of Muncaster, Cumbria from 1907 to his death in 1918 and is remembered on the Memorial Tablets in both Boraston Church and Muncaster.

The family lived next door (3) to the grandparents, William Snr & Ann Dayus. He is remembered on Panels 104 to 113 on the Helles Memorial and on the Memorial Tablet in Burford Church. Both the CWGC and regimental records recorded him as Frederick John Dayns. His son John, was killed in WW11 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment.

His younger brother Sergeant George Corke served in the 1st/7th Battalion of the same Regiment. Private Corke is buried in Plot 1 Grave B 10 at the Outtersteene Communal Cemetery Extension, Bailleul and he is remembered on the Memorial Tablet in Knighton on Teme Church.
